“bare: a pop opera” at Neighbours to raise funds for Marriage Equality

A local production of the cult musical, “Bare: a Pop Opera” opens Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 7pm at Neighbours. The rock musical, originally staged in 2000 with a book by Jon Hartmere, Jr. and Damon Intrabartolo, and music by Mr. Intrabartolo and lyrics by Mr. Hartmere, chronicles the lives of two Catholic high school students coping with their sexuality amid the confines of their school and church. The Seattle production is produced by SGN writer Shaun Knittel and directed by Yee-Shin Huang

Two additional performances of the musical are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, May 2nd and 3rd. Doors for all shows, open at 6pm with the show starting at 7pm and it is an All Ages show. Tickets are $20 and money raised will go to Washington United For Marriage.
