Yup…tonight, Thursday June 19, 2014 is a Day That Will Go Down In Gay History.
The Day Seattle broke the Guinness World Record for the Biggest Drag Queen Performance in History.
The “World’s Largest Drag Queen Show” is all happening at Neighbours Night Club and it’s brought to you by HollaBack Thursday and Sinfinite Productions to celebrate Pride Month in Seattle. Here’s MORE poo:
A special Pride month edition of “HollaBack Thursdays” with BIRTHDAY GIRL hostess Isaac Scott and HollaBack resident mix master DJ Bret Law
Sinfinite Events plans to break a Guinness World Record set in Niagara, Canada in 2012 where 39 drag queens performed in a single stage performance.
On June 19th Seattle will attempt to break the record with 40 local drag queens lead by Queen Captains; Mark Finley, Cherry Sur Bête, Alessandra Hunt, and Jessica Paradisco taking to the stage in 1 amazing performance celebrating the 40th anniversary of Seattle Pride!
Admission to the event is $3 per person.
This is a 21+ event
Doors open at 10:00pm and the dance party continues until 3am.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Pride Foundation.
Each Team Captain represents a Decade: Jessica is obviously the 2000s and Alessandra the 1990s and Cherry the 1980s (despite the fact she was a child in the 80s…) and Mark Finley will represent “The Eras Before The Recording Of Time Began”, aka, “Pre-Reaganomics”.
Regardless of what happens, it should be a hoot and a holler just to see that many crazy divas all in one spot. I bet there’s a Meltdown or 9.
Oh, and the REAL poster:
