David Lynch Movie Night: Blue Velvet + Blue Velvet Revisited

David Lynch’s “Blue Velvet” (1986) is a pop music daydream/deep river night fever coming-of-age masterpiece, that inspired author David Foster Wallace’s celebrated career. Innocent small town youth, Kyle MacLachlan explores the light (Laura Dern) and dark (Isabella Rossellini) mysteries of love, and encounters dangerous human wildlife (Dennis Hopper) in the secret heart of America. In 35mm, 120 min.

Plus, the Seattle premiere of Blue Velvet Revisited (2017), which features the footage filmmaker Peter Braatz shot of Lynch and company at work in 1986, with a current soundtrack by Tuxedomoon and Cult With No Name. Digital cinema, 90 min.
