More info about our intentional learning Q’mmunity:
We will provide a platform for UW students to receive mentorship (by way of building a sustained relationship with a teaching artist) and community building among QTPoCs and artists on campus and in the greater Seattle community. This is a low stakes/high support space for artists with any level of experience to try new work and build community! There are many ways to participate in the showcase. Opportunities include (but are not limited to): emcees/MC, deejays/DJ, performance artists, fine artists, spoken word, poetry, musicians, dramaturge, stage managers, community organizers, and more.
The showcase is student-driven and its final form will be created organically among the participating artists. Lavish centers artists who identify as QTPoC and white allies/accomplices are welcome to participate.
