Join Pride Foundation for an evening showcasing the work of Portland LGBTQ writers Carter Sickels, Christopher Lord, and Kate Gray!
Enjoy a glass of wine, mingle, and then settle in for readings from 3 extraordinary writers.

A little more about our featured writers:
Carter Sickels is the author of the novel The Evening Hour, a finalist for the Oregon Book Award, and the editor of the collection Untangling the Knot: Queer Voices on Marriage, Relationships, & Identity. He is the recipient of the 2013 Lambda Literary Emerging Writer Award, a project grant from Oregon’s RACC, and an NEA Fellowship to the Hambridge Center for the Arts.
Christopher Lord is a native Oregonian, born in Astoria (near the very heart of Dickens Junction), and lives in Portland with his husband Evan (who is not a writer) and their Devon Rex, Miss Lucretia Tox. Besides writing detective novels, his short stories have been published in anthologies, literary journals, and e-zines. He is a past recipient of a Literary Fellowship from Literary Arts, where he serves regularly as a guide for their Delve Readers Seminars.
Kate Gray is the author of Carry the Sky, Another Sunset We Survive, Bone Knowing, and Where She Goes. Another Sunset We Survive was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award, Bone Knowing won the Gertrude Press Poetry Prize, Where She Goes won the Blue Light Chapbook Prize. She’s been awarded residencies at Hedgebrook, Norcroft, and Soapstone, and a Literary Fellowship from Literary Arts.
