Producer bio – Mistresspiece Theater is an emerging company. We are a nomadic theater. We are thrilled to make our debut with this co-production at The Pocket Theater. We are community-based organization focused on supporting strong, positive depictions of female and LGBTQIA+ characters onstage and creating opportunities for women and LGBTQIA+ artists backstage. We are inclusive group. What we long to see most in theater is more female playwrights, more women leads onstage, more people of color, a balance of gender diversity and more people with disabilities performing and working backstage. Mistresspiece Theater empowers and supports all types of artists from different mediums to participate in and grow through theater.
