The History Boys premieres in Seattle this March

February 13, 2009• byBill W

Alan Bennett’s multiple Tony Award-winning play, THE HISTORY BOYS, Premieres in Seattle March 4-28.

In THE HISTORY BOYS, an unruly bunch of bright, funny, sixthform (or senior) boys in a British boys’ school are in pursuit of sex, sport, and a place at a good university . . . generally in that order. They are helped and hindered, enlightened and bemused, by a maverick English teacher who seeks to broaden their horizons, and a young history teacher who questions the methods, as well as the aim, of their schooling.

THE HISTORY BOYS is directed by Christopher Zinovitch (I Am My Own Wife), ArtsWest Executive Director Alan Harrison says “It is certainly the most anticipated opening in Seattle this year.”

And if we don’t go see this, shame on all of us! ArtsWest is the only place in town doing work for us that means anything! I’m going on opening night.
