What a perfect day for the bears to come out of hibernation as Seattle’s 15th Annual Spring Thaw kicks off at CC Attle’s tonight.
On Saturday, April 18, Cuff Complex will host the annual Furnace Dance Party featuring DJ Jester (aka Pete Savas). Pete Savas is one of those awesome DJs that Seattle does not get very often. Seriously! And of course, he’s recently coming off as a big winner in the 2009 Gay Days Orlando DJ Contest. Go to his website where you can play some of his mixes from the homepage and I am certain you will agree he is very talented and this event on Saturday is not an event you will want to miss. Shop early for best selection or to avoid those long lines to get into Cuff later Saturday night.
Here is what to expect the rest of the weekend:
For participants who registered for Spring Thaw they will receive a gift bag, have access to a hospitality suite at the host hotel and be able to ride shuttle buses between events from 9pm – 2:30am Friday and Saturday night.
The Spring Thaw folks are hosting many private events and cocktail parties throughout the weekend but several are open to people that did not register. Check out their Spring Thaw Events for more information.
There is a Lunch Cruise on Puget Sound which includes a boxed lunch and unlimited soft drinks (cocktails & beer available for purchase) on Saturday April 18 departing at 11am. Show up at Pier 55 before 11am SHARP! with $50 to participate.
Also on Saturday, from 7pm – 11pm, is Bowling, Billiards & Bears at The Garage, 1130 Broadway Avenue and this is a private Spring Thaw party. “Throw a few frames or shoot some stick at The Garage – No Host Bar with snacks provided.” Show up with $30 to participate.

All these events tonight are open to everyone.
