Why couldn’t you live forever?

April 26, 2009• byBill W

By now you are already aware that gay icon, Bea Arthur has passed away at the age of 86. My vivid memories from childhood during the 1970’s are of my mother watching her popular sitcom Maude. Most gays know her from the role as Dorothy in the popular 1980’s sitcom Golden Girls. It feels strangely like losing a close family member.

Goodbye Bea Arthur. A little piece of me died today.

Bea Arthur was always very kind to me and signed many autographs to be used by my non profit (heartstrong.org) She also sent a nice letter to me after my first book was published. (The Preacher’s Son) You can read that letter on my facebook page. I am Marc Adams.
