3-Day Transgender Filmmaking Workshop: Make a Trailer!

Seeking transgender people to participate in a filmmaking workshop that will result in a trailer for Translations 2017: Seattle Transgender Film Festival! This will be a collaborative effort that involves three days of instruction, shooting and editing. See your work on the big screen and online! No experience necessary.

DESCRIPTION:
This 3-day filmmaking workshop takes students through the process of producing a film festival trailer from beginning to end, using the Red Epic-X 5k Digital Cinema Camera, courtesy of Blanket Fort Films. No previous experience necessary. Each participant will edit a trailer to be selected by the Festival Director, Sam Berliner. Your Story; Your Voice!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
We will provide paper & pen as needed. You may bring your own writing materials or laptop & tablet to use for your notes if that is useful to you. If you would like to keep the footage you record, bring an external hard drive (2TB or greater) on the last day, or be prepared to download footage after the workshop via Google Drive.
Class size is limited to 20 people. Registration for the workshop series is first come-first served.
