Rain Country Dance Association presents Country Dancing every Friday night at The Cuff.

The Rain Country Dance Association creates a friendly environment for GLBTQ people and friends to meet and dance in the Pacific Northwest. We support the Country-Western dance community by providing opportunities to dance, learn, and perform. We cater to the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered/Queer community of Seattle and Greater Puget Sound but are open to all. We are a non-profit organization.
We promote the teaching of country-western, line, and related dance forms, providing venues for learning, practicing, and perfecting those skills. We present the public performance of those dance forms, preserving the history and continuity of country-western and line dancing in our regional area.
Our typical instruction schedule on Fridays (at the Cuff / lesson at 7:15, with open dancing 7:00–7:15 and 8:15–11:00) is Basic Two-Step and an popular line dance on the first Friday, followed by “Dance of the Month” for the second, third, and fourth Fridays, starting with beginner lessons and advancing in level each week. Dance of the Month rotates between all our country-western dance styles: Two-Step, Waltz, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Night Club, Shadow, Shuffle, and Line Dance. When there is a fifth Friday, 2 or 3 line dances will be taught.
First, third, and fifth Wednesdays (at the Cuff /lesson at 8:30, with line dancing 7:30–8:30 and 9:00–10;15) feature a line dance lesson, usually with a new-to-Seattle dance on the first Wednesday and an intermediate/advanced line dance on the other Wednesdays.
First Saturdays is an additional dance night (at the Cuff). Open dancing from 7:00–10:00, with a rotating theme for the first hour of West Coast Swing or Line Dancing.
Rain Country instructors and DJs are volunteers. We encourage you to tip the instructors folowing the lessons and the DJ at any time during the evening dancing.
