This event is to raise money for The Gilded Feather Foundation. The Gilded Feather Foundation is a non-profit animal organization, which raises money to educate people on the number 3 most popular pet species, exotic birds. Exotic birds have the intelligence of a small child and are often just thought of as a bird that mimics. However, with the help of many people, these theories have been disproven and it’s documented they are as smart (if not more) as our animal cousins, the primates. TGFF’s goal is to educate owners, so these beatiful birds aren’t tossed into rescues, sanctuaries or simply sold over and over. Exotic birds are now the 3rd highest after cats and dogs to be taken to shelters and abandoned. This rate continues to rise at an alarming rate and many species are close to extinction in the wild due to the pet trade.

Along for our love of feathered animals, we love other animals and their organizations too! TGFF al’ots a special grant for a fellow non-profit organization.
