Meeting reqarding the upcoming:

National (now named Global) Pride March on Seattle
Sat. Feb. 11
Noon
Julia’s Restaurant, Theater Section
300 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98102

The meeting will be presenting developing information regarding the National Pride March on D.C. and the Sister March in Seattle planned for Capitol Hill’s Cal Anderson Park for June 11, 2017

The meeting will be discussing developing information from David Bruinooge of the National (now Global) Pride March in D.C.
Interpride – an International organization of LGBTI Pride Organizers overseeing the Global March communications
and Capital Pride Alliance in D.C.

Interpride has requested that Sister cities to have no named sponsorship – similar to the Women’s March
Run by a Steering Committee – not one group
and “Of the People”.

Organizers around the nation have said given the political climate and our challenges to democracy this might be the “Most important Pride in my lifetime”

This organizational committee meeting is open to the public.
We hope you can and your organization can attend in solidarity and help this historic march.
For LGBTQIA organizations that cannot attend please message this page for questions or to be added as a contingent.
This march is a collective stewardship and belongs to all of us!

Sincerely, with Pride,
Charlette LeFevre and Philip Lipson

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
