Starting on Thursday, October 18th and then every third Thursday after that, the Social Queer will be organizing a monthly happy hour for queer womxn.

It is important that attendees feel and comfortable and welcome, which is why I recently sought feedback for potential SQ spots. Bars at the top of the list included Union, the Runaway, and Queer Bar. We’ll be kicking it off at Union on the 18th and if all goes well and people feel good about it, we’ll stick with that unless there’s a reason to change. As always, your feedback is important, so never hesitate to private message me.

For all the singles out there, my wife and I met at a monthly event in DC… sooo it is indeed possible to find love on that third Thursday!

Last thing: if you haven’t yet been to an SQ event, this is your perfect opportunity! Will be very chill and there hasn’t been an SQ event yet that hasn’t been easy, warm, and welcoming. Hopefully others can attest. Also, when I say queer womxn, the scope is quite broad – this is a very inclusive group and I’m always happy to answer questions if there’s any doubt.
