Queers and feminists organize globally

June 21, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Commemorate queer pride month and learn what’s happening around the globe with LGBTQ organizing. The meeting will highlight the remarkable life of Marielle Franco, a Brazilian politician and human rights leader who was recently assassinated because of her work in the LGBTQ, Black and Favela (poor) communities.

The evening will also include a report on the June 9 counter-protest to the right-wing Patriot Prayer. Radical Women worked in coalition with others to stand up for women’s rights. Spoiler: the neo-fascists were completely outnumbered. Bring your thoughts and ideas.

Tasty dinner with vegan option at 6:30pm for $8.50 donation.
