Sub Pop Records, an independent label founded in 1988 by Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman, has represented some of Seattle’s most well-known musical artists. Introducing the work of bands like Nirvana, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden, the label helped launch the grunge movement and they’ve been presenting groundbreaking artists ever since. Current Sub Pop acts include Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Shabazz Palaces, and Sleater-Kinney. This event showcases a few of the label’s up-and-coming performers. Featured artists to be announced later.
