CUFF COMPLEX, 1533 13th Ave, is a quasi leather/bear bar with a separate dance floor from the main bar. The Cuff has gradually become the most popular gay dance club in Seattle on weekends for mainstream gays. Their large outdoor patio is heated and covered and features their famous “Dog Run.”
Weekends attract a solid mainstream crowd mixed right alongside their regular bear crowd. On Fridays and Saturdays there is a $5 cover charge and they are open till 3am for HiNRG dancing with one of several rotating DJs. A lineup at the entrance forms by 10pm and by midnight it can be difficult to get in.
Their most popular event is the Sunday T-Dance with DJ John England from 6pm to Midnight with $1 beers, $2 wells for a $5 cover charge. The Sunday T-Dance is really popular before a Monday Holiday. The club also hosts several country-western dance events, lessons and karaoke throughout the week. There is a $5 cover on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday at 6pm.
When to go: Sunday before 10pm and Saturday night (get stamped before 10pm to avoid the line)
