So after you have watched them toss the fish to each other and visited the first Starbucks established back in 1971, Pike Place Market has a few restaurants for your consideration.
First, BEECHER’S HANDMADE CHEESE is not really a restaurant but a must visit. Try the “World’s Best” macaroni and cheese, try their amazing gilled cheese sandwich or simply sample some of their freshly made cheeses.
And while you are at the Market visit CAFE CAMPAGNE for lunch or brunch or the fancier CAMPAGNE upstairs for dinner. Award winning and featuring some not so familiar French entrées.
If you can find it in Post Alley, the PINK DOOR (not as gay as the name implies) has excellent outdoor rooftop patio seating that looks out over the water.
MATT’S IN THE MARKET is small and kind of hard to find but a favorite for lunch or during happy hour.
If you are in the mood, visit KELL’S Irish Restaurant and Pub for a pint of beer.
MAXIMILIEN in the Market is classy and worth mentioning for its spectacular views and Sunday Supper Prix Fix menu for $30. Great Happy Hour!
While at Pike Place Market this would be the time to drop into SONYA’S – the only gay bar in downtown. This dive bar has a very mixed crowd but if you desire to take a look they do serve food and have an excellent view of the water.
