A&F exits, H&M enters at Seattle’s U. Village

January 8, 2008• bySeattle Gay Scene

The Seattle Times had the news back in August. But after seeing this comment on Slog I was pretty excited seeing A&F had closed to make room for the new H&M Store in Seattle.

I know. The whole rest of the urban U.S. already has an H&M Clothing Store (Vancouver, BC will have two) but I could not help but get excited about this. The store provides unique and trendy fashion at a very low price. The kind of fashion that does not go out of style. Like many people, I discovered H&M while traveling through Europe many years ago and since some of us have actually flown all the way to San Francisco in order to shop at H&M it is amazing, after all this time, that Seattle is finally getting their own store.

So with respect to Abercrombie and Fitch, who are out as of this last weekend, and H&M, who are on their way in, we must follow with giddy anticipation the future opening of H&M at University Village slated for this summer.
