From Historical Timeline on NeimanMarcus.com
In March of 2009, Bellevue will be getting the first Neiman Marcus in the Northwest at what will be called The Shops at Bravern next to the Bellevue Convention Center. While Nordstroms targets the top 10% of shoppers Neiman Marcus goes after the elite 1%. The store will be three levels and 125,000 square feet.

Around the country Neiman Marcus has been called “one of last glamorous department stores.” For example, the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills boasts the ultra hip and urban chic “Bar on 4.” Both that store and their circular bar located on the 4th floor has become a popular haunt for Hollywood celebs.
Yes, Seattlest, our downtown is missing out but I don’t blame Neiman Marcus for wanting to set up shop in Bellevue right outside the door of Microsoft and other high tech companies. Soon Seattle will be getting three H&M’s, retailer of wonderfully hip but inexpensive clothing and at least we already have a brand new Barney’s. Besides, Bellevue is only a short bridge away for most of us.
Or maybe the Bravern Residences still has room in their condo.
