Odalys Nanin has been invited to join the panel of guest speakers at the 1st Annual It’s About Life Expo this coming June, 2008 in Seattle. Other celebrities invited include Sandra Bernhard, Ari Gold and Liz Clark. “It’s About Life” will not just be a business and consumer expo, it will also be an event that combines international music with authors and speakers that are geared toward the issues that affect the LGBT community in Seattle. Nanin will speak about the issues, trials, obstacles and advantages of being a minority within a minority.
The expo begins Friday, June 20th with a fun evening of bingo to support the Lifelong Aids Alliance and ends with an Awards Luncheon on Sunday, June 22.
Since graduating from The Drama Studio London and Rutgers University, Odalys Nanin has appeared in at least 30 theatre productions both in New York and Los Angeles along with appearances on several television shows and commercials. She has earned a stellar reputation for writing, directing and producing theatre in Los Angeles. Ms. Nanin is the recipient of three Drama-Logue Theatre Awards for direction, performance and production of “Vargas Llosas La Chunga.”
A jack of all trades Odalys has and is certainly making a huge difference as a prominent member of the arts community. She has become quite a motivation and an inspiration to many aspiring talents and business entrepreneurs alike, not only as a woman but as well as a Latina. Her newly revived Macha Theatre in Los Angeles stands tall and strong as one of the only Latina run Theater in the country.
