Queerfest will return to Capitol Hill

February 12, 2008• bySeattle Gay Scene

The LGBT Community Center board voted to continue Queerfest at Volunteer park on Pride Weekend. The Capitol Hill Queerfest will no longer have its march or parade that occurred down Broadway Ave on Saturday last year and will just concentrate on activities in Volunteer Park. Here is the Seattle Gay News report.
The Seattle Pride Parade in Downtown, organized by a different group (Seattle Out and Proud), which draws over 200,000 spectators, will occur on Sunday June 29 at 11 am as planned. PrideFest at Seattle Center is also different from Queerfest and will be held on Sunday afternoon after the downtown Pride Parade.
