These puppeteers stretch themselves to the limit presenting the ancient Australian art of genital origami, performed naked. Puppetry of the Penis leaves women and men gasping with more than 40 hilarious installations including The Pelican, The Loch Ness Monster, and their signature creation, The Hamburger.
Seattle Gay News had this to say about the production back in 2005:
Like Naked Boys Singing in New York, the show started out with a huge Gay following but has turned into birthday, booze and bachelorette outing for young women. No harm in that but GLBT audiences expecting a strong Gay crowd should be forewarned….Puppetry Of The Penis may not be great art but it is clearly great entertainment for a select crowd.
The performance runs April 29 to May 4, 2008. Tickets can be purchased through the ACT Theatre.
