Rainbow City Band, more fun than band camp

March 1, 2008• bySeattle Gay Scene

For 10 years Seattle’s Rainbow City Band has played an integral part in entertaining the entire community from their special concerts to their loud and proud marching in the annual Gay Pride Parade that is so powerful they have brought some to tears. They are a non-audition community band consisting of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight members from all around the Puget Sound area. The band is held together by the effort of many different volunteers and for the past year Conductor Michael Clark has become an integral part of the success of RCB.

Michael Clark was recently interviewed on NRP radio as part of their series on community bands of the Puget Sound. That NPR interview is available here.

On Saturday March 22, 2008 Rainbow City Band presents:
Broadway Baby at the Broadway Performance Hall at 8:00 pm.

Tickets are available from BrownPaperTickets.

Here are several videos of Rainbow City Band performances.
