‘Queerfest’ will not be held in Volunteer Park

April 22, 2008• bySeattle Gay Scene

Seattle Gay News reported that the organizers of Capitol Hill’s gay celebration announced that Queerfest will not be held in Volunteer Park and would be held in smaller venues around the city.

And of course here is Dan Savage’s reaction to the news.

The downtown Seattle Pride Parade, which attracted over 200,000 spectators, is organized by a completely different group and will still be held on Sunday June 29th along with PrideFest at the Seattle Center immediately following the Pride Parade. Info about the parade and events are available at www.seattlepride.org. Info about PrideFest is available at www.seattlepridefest.com.
