Wildrose, Seattle’s only lesbian bar, welcomes very special guest The Whore Moans. This p-rock band plays souped up garage based dirty smut-rock and recently appeared at Bumbershoot and the Capitol Hill Block Party.
The Stranger reviewed their past album:
Watch Out for This Thing is the best blistering-hot melting pot that’s been cooked up in recent history…This city’s sitting on the edge of another rock-and-roll rejuvenation. The Whore Moans should lead the pack for the new generation.
10 Things Zine had the following to say about The Whore Moans:
…they fucking destroy live. Seriously, they are rowdy, loud, catchy, move around a ton and you have no choice but to start moving at their shows, it’s a p-rock dance party. You need to check out this band live if you live near Seattle.
And in this corner…The Hands couldn’t be more different than The Whore Moans.
Sound on the Sounds says in this recent review that “The Hands are best suited to blow your mind with a live performance” with music that is heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones.
Saturday April 26, 2008 the action starts at 9 pm for just $5.
Wildrose also welcomes men.
