Soft Opening Planned for Memorial Day Weekend at Triangle Recreation Camp (TRC)
Here’s the latest news:
Because of the extraordinary amount of snow this past winter, TRC has already postponed opening several times this year. This Member-owned-and-operated non-profit routinely opens early April, and has since 1975. This year however Mother Nature made other plans.
With lots of work for the best volunteers anywhere, TRC Members are working together to get ready to greet members and guests for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. The condition of the campground is improving rapidly, since the driveway and parking lot were plowed earlier this week. Fallen trees were cleared from roads and trails, the toilets were placed around the campground, and the footbridge crossing trial 6 was once again erected! If you are planning on camping by the riverfront area, you might need to bring a shovel to break up the snow. Once broken up is melts quickly (overnight).
Thanks to the hard workers who took time from their own activities to help out. Today was a perfect example of how everyone seems to come together to create a positive result for all. Special thanks to Allan H. from The Coral and Norm O, and Jack S. Without their leadership these important tasks would not have been completed.
