TIËSTO has finally arrived

May 31, 2008• bySeattle Gay Scene

LA Sports Arena

It’s time for Tiësto, the Grammy nominated and renowned electronic music pioneer and DJ. Lauded as The World’s Number One DJ, his achievements include:

  • More than two decades spinning, remixing, and releasing top selling albums
  • Played the largest-ever single DJ set in North America for over 15,000 at the LA Sports Arena
  • Played live for over one billion people during the opening ceremony of the 2004 Olympics
  • Closed out the main stage at Coachella
  • Remixed for such top acts as Justin Timberlake and indie artists such as Tegan + Sara
  • Tiësto brings his 2008 Summer “In Search of Sunrise Tour” to Seattle tonight, Saturday, May 31st at the WaMu Theater.

Also appearing in this USC.11 event is another huge name in the DJ world and an innovative musician, BT. Tonight’s show is presented by USC (United State of Consciousness) for the 11th Anniversary.

This tour will see Tiësto return to his club roots, allowing his fans in Seattle to see him up close and personal in a more intimate setting, following last year’s record-breaking “Elements Of Life” world tour.

They are limiting the event to only 7,000 people which means it is expected to sell out, however, tickets are still available.

For myself, I find it fascinating to see how differently straight people act when they are at a techno/trance event, but these huge events are actually intended to be more like a big concert experience. Day of Show tickets are $60. More info is available at www.WaMuTheater.com.

Here is the schedule for the night:

    8:00-9:30 pm HYPERFUNK
    9:30-11:00 pm DJ DIG-DUG
    11:00-12:30 pm BT Laptop Symphony
    12:30-2:30 pm TIËSTO
2:30-4:00 pm DJ DAN & DONALD GLAUDE 2×4

Good luck, have fun and I will see you there!
