Seattle is this year’s host for the 18th Annual Festival of the Babes Lesbian Soccer Tournament over Labor Day Weekend.
It’s time to bring your game to Seattle. Women are encouraged right now to sign up and form a team. The festival will have up to 24 teams and draws approximately 350 players and fans from all over the U.S. and Canada. Large numbers of women attend both the tournament itself and the nightly events. Although primarily lesbian players make up the teams, the tournament is open not only to lesbians, but to anyone who does not mind being mistaken for one.
There will be a Friday night Kick-Off Party at Sole Repair that is so exclusive with limited space that it will ONLY be open to participants in the soccer tournament.
The Closing Night Party/Awards Show at Cowgirls, Inc. in Pioneer Square on Sunday August 31, is open to everyone. But be sure to get in your disco nap Sunday afternoon – you’ll need it so you can ride the Cowgirls’ bucking bronco!
