Saturday August 30, 2008 is the Gay Softball World Series Official Closing Night Block Party at Purr. Doors open at 2 pm with very special guests DJ JST and DJ Randy Bettis.
This will mark DJ JST’s 2nd time back to Seattle after a successfull 2007 Pride debut. Since his first appearance he has remixed for artists such as Erin Hamilton and Danielle Bollinger. He has broken thru with his remix of Alyson’s single “Here With Me” and is now working with Jenna Drey in addition to a new secret album project with Bill Friar Entertainment that will come out winter 2008/2009.
DJ/Producer Randy Bettis is among the most sought-after mixmasters in the dance-music industry and was recently voted DJ of the Year by JustCircuit subscribers.
Having played in some of NYC’s most legendary clubs (Limelight, Sound Factory, Stereo), Randy can be heard frequently at clubs such as Splash in New York, Town in DC, Pure in Philadelphia and Steel in Fort Lauderdale.
In 2006 and 2007, Bettis took it to the next level, embarking on a national tour to 26 cities and was voted Best Circuit Tour of 2006 AND again in 2007 by the members of JustCircuit.com. He also launched new portals for fans with a weekly mixshow on G.I.R.L. (GayInternetRadioLive.com) and with satellite broadcasts on SIRIUS Radio’s OutQ “Saturday Night Out.”
Randy Bettis embarked on a new tour in 2008 beginning with Orlando’s Gay Days and ending here in Seattle with the Purr Closing Block Party.
The fun begins at 2 pm outside of Purr Cocktail Lounge on 11th Avenue.
