BONNEY LAKE – Republican State Representative from the 31st District (SE King County and NE Pierce County) Dan Roach, who repeatedly votes against gay rights issues, has been ordered to pay $21,504 in fines by the PDC.

The issue is being called a “misunderstanding of PDC rules” and Roach called it a mistake “in letter, not spirit” of the law.

Incumbent Dan Roach, son of Senator Pam Roach, garnered over 55% of the vote in his primary race on Tuesday while the incumbent Democrat Chris Hurst gained almost 59% in the race for the other 31st District Rep. seat.

VANCOUVER – Longtime gay rights opponent and incumbent Republican Rep. Jim Dunn fails to get even 20% of the vote in his primary race and some predict that his political career may be over and “likely signals the long-overdue end.”
