You Can’t Take It With You at Seattle Repertory Theatre runs now through January 3, 2009. In this classic comedy the Sycamore family is a zany bunch of free-spirited artists and oddball entrepreneurs. When daughter Alice announces her new boyfriend’s rich, conservative parents are coming to dinner, Alice’s family agrees to act “normal.” But all bets are off when Alice’s boyfriend brings the parents to the Sycamore house on the wrong evening.
An all-star Seattle cast and talented director Warner Shook will bring this hilarious classic American comedy to life again.

The plays director, Warner Shook, was formerly the artistic director of Intiman Theatre for seven years. His work includes directing Angels in America and Love! Valour! Compassion! Shook directed The Kentucky Cycle which won the Pulitzer Prize and was nominated for a Tony Award. He also directed Doubt at Seattle Rep which also won the Pulitzer Prize. He now divides his time between homes in New York City and Upstate New York with his partner Frank Swim and their Jack Russell, Lizzie.
