DJ Seth Cooper will make an exciting debut at Cuff Complex in Seattle on Saturday December 6, 2008. Seth has spun for many major events throughout the country including parties in Orlando, Austin, Houston and Tampa. Some of his events include the 2008 Gay Days pool party in Orlando, Jungle 15 & 16 in Houston, Octo-Tea 12 in Austin, Velvet Mafia T-Dance in San Antonio and he recently headlined Splash Days After Hours in Austin over Labor Day Weekend.
Just Circuit Magazine had this to say about him:
Austin’s own Seth Cooper provided the music for the event [Splash Days] and oh, what a journey did he take the packed house! I think that Seth could be the next major DJ to come out of Austin on the heals of such greats as Belmares and Tank. The only thing sexier then the DJ himself was the music he spun from start to end…I do not know anyone who left without great things to say.
Seth is known for the energetic, powerful, and fresh sounds that he delivers. And he is always ready to deliver the high energy vocals, under laced with fierce, tribal drums and a hint of Latin influence that keeps you dancing. Seth’s private mixes and mashups are played by some of the industries’ top talents. His musical inspirations include DJ Trypsin, Roland Belmares, Peter Rauhofer, and Manny Lehman.
In 2006, Seth was asked to join Gay Internet Radio Live and its president, Devan Christopher, had this to say about him:
A fresh face, with a fresh take on blending beats, has attracted the attention of industry leaders. Seth is a remarkable, young, talent and the future is a bright one for this superstar.
It’s being called “Dance Party Saturday” and DJ Seth Cooper spins December 6, 2008 from 10pm-3am.
Cuff Complex in Seattle features Hi-NRG dancing every Friday and Saturday night until 3am, attracting the largest and the hottest gay crowd in town.

im not sure what circuit parties you have gone too, but this set by seth would not fit into my “circuit” category. I agree with you that it was very energetic and probably also a little too fast. it was hard to keep up with to dance too and circuit parties are more about hard, pounding beats where a dj tells a story throughout the night through the music he plays by intellectually constructing a set.
just b/c older circuit anthems (rosabel, cha cha heels) are included, doesnt mean its classic circuit. a lot of the music was very top 40, dance music wise, in my opinion.
i do agree with you, it was great energy and is some of the best dance music ive heard since moving to seattle a little over a year ago from atlanta. unfortunately, that’s not saying a whole lot, with the dance/underground scene here lacking. and i hate that cause its one of the things im most passionate about in life.
but it was fun, and thats what its all about, and i wish more events and up-and-coming djs would come to seattle like this.
sorry to comment again. now that i think about it, there were more “circuit” type songs that were played, especially for seattle. waiting for allegria, issues, etc. those were played way after the peak crowd left, which was fine with me. but youre right as far as it feeling circuit with regards to those tracks seth played.
