It’s a big day for FrankenBOOT! this Saturday Jan 17th.
Seattle’s original ALL MASH-UP monthly club night is celebrating its 4 year anniversary. The anniversary party was originally planned for December, but Seattle was whomped with a blizzard that night.
For 4 years Re-Bar’s FrankenBOOT has been bringing to its fun mixed crowd of straights and gays the best Mash-Up tunes from around the world. Insane pairings like Michael Jackson vs Dr Dre, The Pointer Sisters vs Lil Wayne, Snap vs Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beyonce vs Tom Petty, Madonna vs Donna Summer, Elvis vs Pink, Iggy Pop vs The Beastie Boys, Cyndi Lauper vs Flo-Rida, The Pixies vs Pussycat Dolls, The Human League vs Rick Astley, Leona Lewis vs Queen, Prince vs Peaches, Pat Benatar vs Lil Mama, Justin Timberlake vs C+C Music Factory, The Police vs The Klaxons, The BeeGees vs Pink Floyd and beat upon beat of so many more!
To help celebrate there is a special guest performance by MC Superman Skivvies, a wild Mash-Up band that plays live Weezer mixes. The first lucky people through the door will get a free CD collection of The Best Mash-Ups of 2008.
As always your mashed up night is hosted by DJ Freddy King of Pants.
FrankenBOOT turns 4 this Saturday Jan 17 at Re-bar 1114 Howell St. 10pm-2am $5 before 11pm, $8 after. More info is available here.
