Don’t forget about the protest against DOMA (The national Defense of Marriage Act enacted on September 21st, 1996) in Seattle, and all over the world.
Let’s hold Obama to the promise he made to repeal DOMA.
Join the Impact organized the huge Seattle protest back in November against Prop 8. Everyone who supports equal marriage rights please meet at the Seattle Central Community College Main Grounds (corner of Broadway and Pine) at 10:30am on Saturday. Volunteers will be walking through the crowds to get signatures on the Open Letter to Obama. The goal is to collect 1 million signatures and take them to D.C. for inauguration weekend.
An inspirational line-up of speakers and performers will take to the stage from 10:30-11:30am followed by a loud & PROUD march down to Westlake Center. The rally will continue at Westlake Center from Noon – 2:00pm with speakers, performers and additional signature gathering.
Please don’t let their threats stop you. It only makes us stronger. Get up, go out and show you are determined. Visibility is the key to equality.
