revYve is a wine and vodka bar in Belltown that recently opened one block southeast of the Olympic Sculpture Park. The grand opening was just this past weekend of January 23 – 25.
revYve is a full bar with premium spirits. However, one visit to the bar, and you will notice a large selection of vodkas. The bar also offers both import and domestic wines (12 by the glass, and 24 by the bottle) comprising mostly wines from boutique wineries so as not to duplicate wines that can be found at various retail locations throughout the city. They are also licensed to sell bottles of wine to go.
I was excited to find out that the bar is gay owned and operated and he had the following to say:
My goal was to create an upscale, non-pretentious environment where everyone would feel welcome in Belltown, regardless of race, sexual orientation, etc., whether they are going out alone or with a group. Of course, I felt that it would be great to open a gay-owned business in Belltown. And the local LGBTQ community hasn’t disappointed. My fabulous manager, Chad, and I have welcomed everyone with open arms. And the rainbow flag in the window certainly helps. I traveled to various cities around the country to do research. Of course, I have a great interior designer who listened to what I wanted to do. Several customers said that Revyve reminds them of bars they’ve seen in New York City or Southern California.
Recent events included an Obama Inaugural Party that featured a $5 breakfast! They have several future parties planned including a fabulous Superbowl Party, a Valentine’s Day event, and even an Oscar Award Party. The owner recently reduced the Happy Hour prices from 4-7pm, and is now offering $5 Absoluts all day Sunday through Wednesday. Get some friends together and go and support a local gay business in Belltown. Anthony and Chad are wonderful hosts.
