Human Rights Campaign is gearing up to hold its 2009 Bowled and the Beautiful Bowl-a-thon on Saturday, February 21, 2009.
Bowling sessions begin at 5:30pm, 8:00pm, and 10:30pm at West Seattle Bowling Alley, 4505 39th Avenue, SW Seattle.
The cost is $35.00 from now through February 14, $40.00 thereafter and at the door. The cost includes a one-year membership to the Human Rights Campaign, 2-hours of bowling, shoes, pizza, soda, and a TON of fun! Of course, everyone remembers our report from last year’s bowling event.
Once several years ago, West Seattle Bowl actually ran out of liquor during the event but they now say they keep the bar quite stocked up in anticipation of this event.
The 2009 HRC Seattle’s “Bowled and the Beautiful” bowl-a-thon will feature three-bowling sessions. Bowling sessions will begin at 5:30pm, 8:00pm, and 10:30pm. Bowlers of all-ages are welcome to attend any of the three-sessions; however, families with young children are encouraged to attend the first bowling session.
The bowling tickets also includes an afterparty being thrown by Gemini Events at Chapel Bar on Capitol Hill from 10:30pm-2am.
The Human Rights Campaign, Seattle—a community of America’s largest civil rights group, working to achieve equality and fair treatment for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community—invites members and supporters of the LGBT community to come bowl for equality.
