RED STAR in Bremerton had their Birthday Bash last month and the turnout was bigger than they ever expected. Thanks to our posting on here several people last month actually made the trip over from West Seattle via the ferry to Southworth and drove up to Bremerton.
Well, they have another hot party this Friday March 6, 2009 and the promoters are boasting that this one will be as big as ever.
Here is the video we posted and as the promoter pointed out “The video shows how much fun was had on the dance floor and how packed it was all night. You can even see proof that women come and have a good time.”
If you head over to Kitsap County on the ferry from West Seattle’s Fauntleroy Terminal it is $8.90 for car a driver and $5.20 for each additional passenger. When you get to the other side it is a 30 minute drive from the Southworth Terminal to the Bremerton Eagles. On the way back on the ferry to West Seattle from the Southworth Terminal there is a charge of $8.90 for driver and vehicle but no charge for any additional passengers in the car. Be careful because the last ferry to West Seattle from Southworth is at 1:40am.
If you take the Bremerton ferry over from downtown Seattle the Bremerton Ferry Terminal appears to be only a 10 minute walk to Eagles Lodge in Bremerton. Walk on passengers pay $6.70 roundtrip. However, the last ferry back to Seattle is 11:40pm so if you took that route you would need to stay the night in Bremerton. Worse case scenario it takes over an hour to drive around from Bremerton to Seattle via Tacoma.
If you need to stay overnight in Bremerton there is no better place than the Hampton Inn & Suites which is on the waterfront next to the ferry terminal in Bremerton. It has received some great reviews for a Hampton and includes high speed Internet and hot breakfast. Last I looked it was going for about $109 on Friday March 6. Even if the website mistakenly says nothing available there are plenty of rooms available for Friday and I imagine you could probably call and get a rate for under $100 per night.
RED STAR is Kitsap County’s only queer club night and is held at the Bremerton Eagle’s Lodge at 6th & Washington in Bremerton from 9pm – 2am. 21+, cover is $5 and cash only.
