Domestic Partnership Bill Passes State House

April 15, 2009• byBill W

Washington State’s Domestic Partnership “everything but marriage” bill passed today and was sent to governor for approval.

But the bill may never become law as The Faith and Freedom Network is the process of organizing a referendum to repeal it before it becomes law.

The Stranger described a recent deceptive television ad against the domestic partnership bill where “opponents only described the measure as ‘marriage’ —never acknowledging the bill didn’t apply to ‘marriage'” implying that similar tactics might be used to gain support for a referendum against the Domestic Partnership law.
