On May 29, DJ Dan and CyberSutra visit Seattle at Heaven Nightclub.
DJ Dan, who got his start in the L.A. rave scene beginning in the early 90’s, has catapulted to DJ stardom and is now considered one of top talents of the DJ scene. He is also considered the hardest working DJ, traveling hundreds of thousands of miles each year to perform for fans throughout the world. Exactly one year ago he was featured along with headliner Tiesto in the USC 11 event at Seattle’s WaMu Theater.
In 2001, DJ Dan, climbing up the DJ ranks, was featured in an article in the Advocate Magazine in which he came out as being gay, challenging rave ambiguity, and even talked about studying fashion design in Seattle before moving to L.A.
Controversy arrived for DJ Dan and other DJs in 2006 when he was voted the #5 DJ in the world on the DJ Mag Top 100 list until voting irregularities were discovered. Fans had bypassed the poll’s security system and voted multiple times from the same IP addresses.
DJ Dan will be joined at Heaven Nightclub by the equally fabulous CyberSutra, currently the hottest electronic music duo in the country, along with local favorite Richard J Dalton from C89.5 FM.
From 9pm – 2am, 21+ only, admission is $10 and can be purchased in advance at BrownPaperTickets.
Here DJ Dan, along with Donald Glaude, kick off their May 2008 USC 11 appearance in Seattle with a little Daft Punk:
I appreciate the labour you have put in developing this blog. Nice and informative.
