I chose to honor Eartha Kitt for this Pride cabaret because she has inspired me as a cabaret performer through her music and persona; and inspired me as a gay man because she fought for her values and spoke out about injustices in spite of the very dire consequences that nearly cost her entire career.
So here’s to you Miss Eartha Kitt for leaving us with a world that is far better than you have found it – Arnaldo!
C’est Si Bon! A pride cabaret tribute to Miss Eartha Kitt is June 21, 23 & 24, 2009. Dinner seating at 6pm with show at 7:30pm. $15 cover + 2 drink min with no dinner.
