Depeche Mode in Seattle on Monday August 10

August 5, 2009• bySeattle Gay Scene

It’s been nearly 30 years and 75 million albums since Depeche Mode was formed back in 1980 and on Monday August 10, 2009, they return once again to Seattle’s Key Arena for their Sounds of the Universe tour.

Tickets are still available and range from $37 – $77. More info about the concert and tickets are available at livenation.com.

I’m a very old school DM fan so I hardly even consider Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence as “classic” Depeche Mode. Pirated concert footage always sucks but this one is quite good thanks to the much too talented Martin Gore. And one of my favorite Depeche Mode songs, performed in Seattle back in 2005:

But they won’t be playing “Somebody” at this concert. At some of their concerts this year their final song is “Waiting for the Night” (and sometimes it’s “Personal Jesus”) and here is the song performed in Paris back in 2001:

For someone like myself that loves spoilers, a concert Set List is available at www.depechemode.com.
