HRC dinner “SPEAK” in Seattle is a huge success

October 2, 2009• bySeattle Gay Scene

This past weekend the Human Rights Campaign raised awareness and money for LGBT Equality. The evening started with an invigorating performance by UpBeat, a local drum and step group. Dinner Co-chairs Chris Boone and Andy Swanson kicked off the night by thanking all attendees, speakers and supporters on behalf of themselves and the other dinner Co-chairs Kevin Moser, Josh Nelson and Todd Landis. It was a night full of laughs which started with MC, lesbian Comedian Dana Goldberg and Featured Speaker Kathy Nijimy.

Also presented on Saturday night was an equality award to co-founder of Join the Impact, Amy Balliet. By the end of the night people were off their chairs as HRC partnering with Washington Families Standing Together raised an amazing $71,000.00 to Approve Referendum 71.

The photos from HRC Seattle Gala Dinner & Auction 2009 are now available at www.teamphotogenic.com/12016.
