Straightlaced @ Egyptian Theatre 6pm, $7.
Documentary that explores how straight, gay, lesbian, bi, queer, and questioning teens feel about their sexual and social identity as well as what they want others to know about them.
Swimming With Lesbians @ NW Film Forum 6pm, $7.
This compelling documentary of 68-year-old legend Madeline Davis is a magnificent portrait of over 50 years of the gay civil rights movement, filled with joy, sadness, and courage.
Mr. Right @ Egyptian Theatre 7:45pm, $10.
This delightful and heartwarming romantic comedy follows the lives and loves of three gay couples living in London’s swinging Soho, hanging on for dear life through the thrills and chills of their respective relationships.

Legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Ferron is featured in this documentary filled with powerful music, poetic lyrics, and life experiences.

Exploration of the colorful and dramatic closing act of legendary fashion designer Valentino Garavani.
Dangerous Desires: Shorts @ NW Film Forum 9:45pm, $10. In this collection of sexy shorts, carnal urges and longings for love often yield precarious results.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2009:
Super 8: Making Ends Meet @ Egyptian Theatre 6pm, $7.
Ten people from the community with only one measly roll of film, a scant three weeks, and a shoestring budget, pounded the pavements with Super 8 cameras in hand. But you can put stock in these ingenious and resourceful filmmakers, who definitely didn’t scrimp on the creativity.

Out In the Silence @ NW Film Forum 6pm, $7.
Filmmaker Joe Wilson armed with a video camera and a desire to share the truth, follows C.J., a teenage boy who was harassed and verbally attacked, as he returns to the high school that ousted him and lets the footage speak for itself in this captivating and award-winning documentary.
The Big Gay Musical @ Egyptian Theatre 7:15pm, $15.
Dissatisfied with dating, Paul decides that he should try to be a slut, just like the tap-dancing, shirtless angels that share his dressing room. But does Manhunt suit a guy who’s really yearning for true intimacy?

The journey of confusion and discovery that Charly and his father take after 30 years apart illuminates this bright comedy that addresses the serious issue of homophobia in Latino society.
Getting Off @ NW Film Forum 9:30pm, $10.
A young man leaves his rural life behind for the big, bulging city, lusting for fame and fortune. But what will he give up to have it all? And who will he give it up to? (Or who won’t he?) Filmed on location in Seattle, Portland, and Bozeman, Montana. Contains graphic sexuality.
