Thanksgiving in Gay Seattle 2009:
The BottleNeck Lounge kicks off Thankgiving on Wednesday November 25, 2009 starting at 7pm. Justin (who really is just a great mixologist) will be found behind the bar mixing some seasonal cocktails with Tofurky and Gravy Jones Soda for as long as you can stand it and they’ll be giving away stuff from Jones Soda all evening. One lucky soul will head home with a lunchbox stuffed with holiday treats.
Also on Wednesday November 25, Seattle Eagle will host a special Pre-Thanksgiving Day Cocktail Happy Hour Social from 6pm – 10pm with $4 wells, $2 Buds, $3 Micro’s and music provided by DJ KC. Please bring some “UN-punishable” food item for NW Harvest. You will find more info here.
Cuff Complex will also be open for a special night of dancing on Wednesday Nov 25, 2009 from 10pm – 2am with DJ John England.
On Thanksgiving Day Thursday November 26, 2009, Dunshee House hosts SHIFTgiving from 1pm – 7pm. This is a place for LGBTQ people in recovery and their friends to celebrate the holiday and is a substance free event. Dinner at 3pm with games, Karaoke, entertainment and fun throughout the day. We need more events like this. RSVP by calling 206-388-1712.
Spanksgiving is at The Cuff on Thursday November 26, 2009 from 9pm – Midnight with Northwest Leather Sir, Hugh BR and Lady Lydia McLane. No DJ.
Martins Off Madison will be open for a special Holiday meal on Thursday November 26 from 4:30pm – 8:30pm ($15). They will offer a full traditional dinner with choice of turkey or ham and the regular menu will not be available. There will be no live entertainment for that evening but they may show a surprise movie feature. This does make an excellent and friendly Thanksgiving option. Their bar will be open from 4pm until at least midnight.
