Anything But Clothes party is Monday Dec 28

December 28, 2009• bySeattle Gay Scene

Monday’s “ABC Party” and benefit at Cafe Metropolitain will be hosting their special “Red Carpet” from 8pm – 9:30pm before the party with photographer Kevin Kauer and the event itself will include a show by Lady Chablis and crew from R Place and DJ Jimmie Carafella will be spinning REAL 80’s music. They are asking for cash donations at the door but this is not required, meaning No Cover! All the proceeds from donations and the raffle auction will benefit Lambert House. The event started as a birthday party for David Knapp (affectionately known as the Paris Hilton of Capitol Hill) but has exploded into an impressive and unique fundraising party.

They’ve amassed quite a list for their raffle auction which includes:

  • $50 and two “Mystery amount” Gift Cards to UnderU4men
  • $50 Gift Certificate to Purr
  • Dinner for two at Purr or at The Lobby Bar
  • $50 Gift Certificate for Trattoria
  • Gift Bag worth around $50 for Babeland
  • $25 Gift Certificate for Chao Bistro
  • A gift bag from Retail Therapy
  • Cute Gifts from Square Room
  • Some surprises from The Gay City Health Project (you’ll really want this!)
  • The “gotta-haves” from Lifelong Aids Alliance
  • Tastey stuff from Bluebird Ice Cream and Tea
  • Kaladai Brothers Coffee Gift Box
  • Fun stuff from Atlas Clothing
  • 6 Hours of Sustainable Cleaning from HomeMaid Seattle (worth $180)
  • Treats from Cupcake Royale
  • Also, just added City Home Store $50 gift certificate.
  • Costume awards include a 1st Place Prize of a $100 gift certificate to Ruth Chris Steak House, 2nd Place Prize of a $75 Gift Card to Target and a 3rd Place Prize of a Gift Bag valued at $50.

More info is available at my original posting here.
Anyone can go and there is still time to RSVP by visiting the event on Facebook.

UPDATE: Come as you are, costumes are not required. In fact, voyeurs are encouraged! But just come out tonight to Cafe Metropolitain and help raise money for Lambert House.
