Nuns want to Kiss (You) Off at R Place

February 10, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence of the Abbey of St Joan are inviting y’all to a Kiss Off at R Place on Friday, February 12th starting at 9pm a Valentine’s Day themed party to help benefit Gay City and the Sisters’ own Play Fair program. With a $7 cover after 9pm and they promise it’s going to be:

…an evening of 60’s love-in gone modern-dance-party, rolled in glitter! Attractions include raffle prizes, candygrams, a kissing booth, midnight kiss-in, and more!

…and, nuns NEVER lie!!! They might beat you with a ruler and take away your patent leather shoes, but they will not let a lie pass their lips…unless it’s approved by the Vatican.

for more information on the event or the good Sisters and their good deeds, check out their website. And, also keep a spot open on your calendar for their Mardi Gras event on Saturday the 13th, at the Cuff!

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
