Sound Tribe Sector 9, or STS9 for short, is coming to Seattle’s Showbox at the Market on Sat. & Sun., February 20-21, 2010.
“The band’s genre-blending sound is based heavily on instrumental rock and electronic music crossed with elements of funk, jazz, drum and bass, psychedelia, and hip hop. Self-described as “post-rock dance music”. The band mixes standard live rock instrumentation with electronics, favoring group rhythm over individual solos.”
Live performance is the domain for which STS9 is well known for mastering. Consistently ranking in Pollstar’s Top 50 Pulse Chart for American touring acts, touring continues through 2009 and into the New Year.
