Baila! (dance) – Trikone Northwest is bringing back BollyQ for one night only, featuring DJ Anjali at Cafe Metropolitain (1701 E Olive Way) on Saturday April 3, 2010. This event features the Bollywood and Bhangra entertainment culture that is distinctly South Asia which consists of India and the surrounding countries: Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc.
Get on your dancing shoes with Trikone Northwest at our biggest party of the year! Dance to your favorite Bollywood and Bhangra sounds by DJ Anjali, the Northwest’s hottest Desi DJ who’s been rocking Portland for ten ‘dhamakedaar’ years!
The folks at Trikone Northwest are taking over Cafe Metropolitain and turning it into a Bombay Club- straight from the sets of a Bollywood movie. This is your chance to strut your stuff and you are encouraged to wear traditional South Asian attire. Not sure about your Bollywood dance moves? No worries, there will be Bolly 101 instructors on hand to help you get your Bollywood on!
Cafe Metropolitain, 9pm-2am, $5 cover before 10pm, $10 after. 21+
