Burlesque and Cabaret Events Are Knocking at the Triple Door: Justin Bond and Immodesty Blaize!

March 16, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

Just a quick reminder that Cabaret Icon Justin Bond is coming to The Triple Door this Thursday, March 18th for a brand new show featuring iconic songs of the 70’s entitled, “Angels of the Morning: the Ladies of AM Radio”. Backing up Bond will be local musicians Kurt Bloch on guitar, Mark Pickerel on drums, Jim Sangster on bass and Rusty Urie on piano. If you’re looking for some “Afternoon Delight” on a Thursday evening, this would be the place to go and find it…The Swedish Housewife is presenting Justin Bond as her opener for her third season of “The Gilded Stage” at the Triple Door and she has a lot more up her sleeve, in fact you won’t have long to wait for her next big extravaganza, which happens to occur…

…next Tuesday March 23rd heralds the arrival of British Burlesque Queen, Immodesty Blaize, “Miss Exotic World 2007” headlining a huge night of burlesque that also stars Miss Joan Arline, Miss Dirty Martini, Miss Indigo Blue, Miss Inga Ingenue, Miss Catherine D’Lish and the evening’s hostess and presenter, The Swedish Housewife. (That’s a lot of “Miss”…)The night kickoffs at 7pm with the West Coast premiere of the documentary “Burlesque Undressed” followed by the live show at 8.45pm and the lovely ladies will sign merchandise and host a meet and greet after the show. Tickets and more info HERE!!! It would be a shame to MISS a night of such delightful decolletage!!

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
